Here is a list of recent work, occasionaly undertaken on a sub-contract basis. As a result of various non-disclosure agreements, we are unable show-case much of our work.

Sustainable Events

Sustainable events was a sub-contracted programming task to create a tool to help the events industry measure their level of "sustainability". The tool followed the British Standard BS8901 closely, allowing users to record their sustainability across a broad range of factors. The tool has both a user front end, and an admin module so that the site owners can edit the tool's functionality to keep up with industry changes. Other parts of the site required a page editor and contact management system.

1st Tools

1st tools is a complex site with over 30,000 products.

At its core is a process of automatically importing and managing products and prices based upon a number of supplier databases in various different formats. Without this automatic system we created for the company 1st tools would require a much larger staff to maintain.

In short this site's development went far beyond the usual front end shopping scripts, and concentrated instead on back-end functionality and web-based product and customer management.

1st Gardening

A sister site to 1st Tools, 1st Gardening leverages modern database capabilities to offer a sub-set of products on a separate website managed from the same central product database. This not only increases sales, but reduces staff time in managing a separate website as both sites are effectively different views of the same data.

Without our combined knowledge of the internet and server technology and the capabilities of modern databases this site may not have existed.

Outdoor Duo - a specialist dating site

Outdoor Duo is a specialist dating and friendship site for outdoor enthusiasts. Our work was to provide not only classic searching and contact capabilities for the site users, but also a forum, and an advertising banner system.

Time Sheet System

Written for a client this time sheet system allows staff to log their time against any job. Accounts staff can then access summaries of this information, and charge the client accordingly.

Being installed on the company's server it can be accessed by any member of staff with a suitable web browser - be they on a Mac, PC or even a mobile smart phone. There is no installation required on individual PCs, and data is held and backed up centrally.
